Raymond Han (b. 1931, Honolulu, HI – d. 2017, Cooperstown, NY) received wide recognition for his still-life work alongside his explorations in figuration, abstraction, and sculpture. His artistic journey took him from his tropical birthplace to the vibrant art scene of New York City, and finally to upstate New York, where he dedicated himself to his craft until his death in 2017. Han found his niche producing realist still life paintings. He drew inspiration from classical art, and from painters such as Morandi and Poussin.
Han's work can be found in the permanent collections of the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Yale University, and the Picker Art Gallery at Colgate University.
