Drew Klausner

Drew Klausner (b. 1955, New York) studied at the Lacoste School of the Arts at Sarah Lawrence College, the San Francisco Art Institute, and the Art Institute of Chicago. He received his MA from the University of California Davis Fine Art Program.Following his college years, Klausner dedicated two decades to producing his own acclaimed hand-drawn animated short films.

 

Having spent more than 14 years working as a senior digital artist in the film industry, his knowledge of photography and film informs the artwork he now produces. His most recent series are carefully constructed flip-lenticular prints, which offer an interactive view of the vintage, anonymous photographs he recovers and manipulates.

 

Klausner’s work is part of several public and corporate collections, including the Berkeley Art Museum, Delta Airlines, the National Art Gallery of New Zealand, and Princeton University.
